READING/WRITING:
- www.lexile.com – This site can be used to search for books by reading level – you can narrow your search to find books that are pertain to your interests.
- If you have an iPad, iPod or other device at home they may consider downloading the app Storia. It is powered by Scholastic and they are currently offering 5 free books when you sign up for a trial. Check this out in detail at http://teacher.scholastic.com/ereading-resources/
- http://www.newsela.com/ - This is an absolutely amazing site for reading non-fiction. Students can choose an article and take a quiz differentiated by lexile levels.
- http://readingandwritingproject.com/ - This website alligns perfectly with the Common Core Curriculum and our Lucy Calkins writing units.
